The role of the Children & Youth Assistant Administrator 2 is to ensure the provision of high-quality child welfare services that comply with county, state, and federal laws, policies, and best practices. The primary objectives of the agency’s service delivery are to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of the children under its care. The incumbent provides leadership to the service staff, guiding them in the mission, goals, and service delivery of the agency. This position demands a high level of initiative, with most of the work independently determined based on the needs of the service delivery departments.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements – Four years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a children and youth services program agency and a bachelor’s degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
