This position is responsible for management, improvement, and maintenance of all aspects of the computer technology within this department and serves as a liaison with Federal, State, and County IT departments
Under general supervision of the Supervisor, Administrative Services:
Ensures that all staff have functioning computer equipment to include but not limited to PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, external drives and cell phones.
Serves as a liaison with the County’s IT department, AOPC, JCJC, PCCD, PSP to maintain, replace, and improve all hardware and software consistent with Federal, State, and County regulations.
Provides technical assistance in the operations of the department by identifying and resolving technical problems that arise within the department.
Monitors existing computer systems and recommends upgrades to hardware or software when necessary.
Monitors current technologies and makes recommendations for hardware and software upgrades when necessary, or appropriate to increase the efficiency of the department's operations.
Assists with the technological component related to cell phones, copiers, or other office equipment.
Advanced degree in related technologies or equivalent experience. High school diploma or equivalent degree. General office skills with two (2) years of experience, excellent telephone and communication skills. Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the public; strong computer skills and advance knowledge of Windows and PC functionality; Good organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail; Good oral and written communication skills; Strong typing skills; Ability to work individually and as part of a team; Knowledge of Court Processes preferred.

Normal air-conditioned office. 730 AM to 4:30 PM. 40 hours/week. Overtime as needed and approved or directed by the unit supervisor. Ability to function well in high-stress situations. Some exposure to distraught families, victims, etc. and disorderly juveniles.
