Delaware County is seeking to fill a vacancy for the Delaware County Authority

Delaware County is seeking to fill a vacancy for the Delaware County Housing Authority. The Delaware County Authority is a municipal authority formed by the Delaware County Council under the Municipalities Authorities Act. The DCA serves as a conduit issuer to facilitate tax-exempt financings for non-profit colleges, universities, medical facilities and other entities authorized under the Act within Delaware County. Such financings are secured by payments from these borrowers and not by the DCA’s credit. The DCA has financed facilities for, among other borrowers, Villanova University, Haverford College, Neumann University and Cabrini College.

The DCA is comprised of a five-member board. Board members have the responsibility to review and approve financings by the DCA prior to their approval by County Council. Each member serves a five-year term. The DCA meets quarterly.

The term is five years.
