Members of the public safety community and residents were invited to attend a presentation on the findings of the "Delaware County Emergency Radio System Assessment and Conceptual Design" report on Jan. 28. VComm Telecommunications Engineering Firm provided the results of their comprehensive evaluation of Delaware County’s Emergency Communications network and a framework to modernize the County’s public safety capabilities. The presentation included a review of the County’s current radio communication capabilities and options available to improve service, security and safety. The report also provided an estimate on the cost of migrating to a public safety radio frequency band.
