Delaware County is seeking to fill six vacancies to the Delaware County Parks and Recreation Board.

The Park Board was established under the County Code to be an advisory body to County Council on long-range park policy and to serve as a liaison between the Department of Parks and Recreation and local municipalities and school districts.


Board member responsibilities include:

Advising the Park and Recreation Director on programming, expansion and use of County owned park land

Recommending policies and procedures regarding the provision of recreation and park services

Recommending rules and regulations governing the use of fields and facilities to the Director and County Council

Attending public meetings regularly to inform and discuss park and recreation events, programming and future use of each facility

Interfacing with Friends Groups and other local organizations that have an interest in the County Park system

Advising on the budget and making recommendation to the Director on new programs and activities throughout the year


The term is for five years. Vacancies are: District 3; District 4; District 6; 3 At Large Members.

2020 Meeting Schedule: February 12; April 22; June 4; September 16 and November 18, each at noon, at the Hunt Club located at 1521 N. Providence Road, Media, PA
