Members of Council and Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon joined dozens of members of law enforcement from across the county and the Media Fire Department to celebrate the 100th birthday of WW11 Navy Veteran, Otis Evans on Jan. 25. Mr. Evans is a resident of the Sterling Nursing Home. During the celebration, police officers from numerous stations, drove past the nursing home as Mr. Evans watched from a window smiling and waving. The County was honored to deliver a certificate honoring Mr. Evans and Congresswoman Scanlon delivered a flag in commemoration of his service.

Happy 100th Birthday Mr. Evans! You are a true hero. On behalf of all residents of Delaware County, we thank you for your service and wish you a very happy and healthy centenarian celebration.
