During the April 22 public meeting, Delaware County Council voted to extend the deadline for the standard payment collection of County Real Estate Tax bills from June 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020.

Due to COVID-19, the Delaware County Government Center has been closed to the general public since March. In order to accommodate residents who would like to pay their delinquent taxes in person, the Delaware County Treasurer’s Office is offering additional accommodations.

A secure drop box has been installed at the Government Center (201 W. Front St., Media, PA) and the Courthouse lobby designated “Tax Claim Bureau Payments” for residents to deliver delinquent tax payments by check. Delaware County Park Police will assist residents who wish to pay delinquent taxes by cash.

Residents who are having financial difficulties can call the Tax Claim Bureau at 610-891-4293 to make an appointment for a hearing.
