Christine A. Reuther was elected to a four-year term on Delaware County Council in November of 2019. She was born and raised in Delaware County and brings thirty years of professional experience to her role on Council.

Ms. Reuther graduated from Haverford Township Senior High School and earned her undergraduate degree in government with honors from Harvard University. She briefly migrated to California and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley Law School before returning to the Philadelphia area to start her practice as a tax lawyer at Ballard Spahr. She spent time as in-house counsel at both PECO Energy and CIGNA Corporation and, until she was sworn in as a member of County Council, was a shareholder at McCausland Keen and Buckman, a law firm located in the western suburbs. She now focuses on her role on Council but maintains a small business consulting practice advising individuals, partnerships and other closely-held businesses and non-profits.

Ms. Reuther has a long history of working with local non-profits and is currently the Vice President of the Board of Child Guidance Resource Centers, a community mental and behavioral health service provider headquartered in Delaware County.

She has been deeply involved in local government. She is a former member of the Nether Providence Board of Commissioners, a past chair of the Nether Providence Township Planning Commission and serves as the Nether Providence representative on the Board of Directors of the Central Delaware County Authority. She also served as the solicitor to Rutledge Borough, which provides a study in contrasts as one of the smallest municipalities in the County.

Ms. Reuther and her husband live in Wallingford. Their three daughters graduated from Strath Haven High School.
