Summary

Under general direction of the President Judge and Director; and direct supervision of the Client Information Supervisor, the Client Information Center is the Department's first point of communication with the public. The center consists of:Telephone OperatorsReceptionistsAdministrative Support StaffElectronic Imaging FilersMail Processors.


Essential Duties

Under general supervision of the Supervisor:

Answers telephone calls and assists clients by providing information regarding the Domestic Relations Offices policies and procedures.

Scans and indexes all incoming mail as well as all generated documents.

Supports other units in the Domestic Relations Department by pulling documents from electronic files; making copies, certifying orders, preparing mailings, and distributing mail.

Maintains all reception areas.

Schedules clients when needed.

Checks clients in for court.

Prepares and processes all outgoing mail.

Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent degree.

Ability to identify clients needs, find an answer and respond to the questions asked.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Customer service experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.

Capable of learning, understanding and navigating multiple technology platforms.

Ability to deal with people who are upset, irate and/or hostile.


Physical Requirements

Normal good health.

Ability to function in highly stressful situations.

Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Ability to sit for long periods of time.
