This position will assist residents in navigating the human services system, using our No Wrong Door approach. The caseworker will assess resident's needs and link them to the proper programs and services for which they are eligible.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Understand regulatory requirements for Human Services, Social Services and Community Programs, County departments, contracted providers, and community partners.
Collaborate with Human Services, Social Services and Community Programs, County departments, and community providers /resources to have an understanding of the array of services and programs available.
Assist residents, community programs, and others in understanding the Medicaid eligibility including CHIP, County, HIPP and HealthChoices funding.
Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
This position does not have a residency requirement.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
