Essential Duties

Under the general supervision of the Receiving Supervisor, the loading dock just about does it all here at the court house. We are responsible for receiving all deliveries and making sure they are delivered to the proper departments located in the Court House and Government Center. All deliveries are same day. We notify departments/vendors of discrepancies/problems with orders, communicate with Central Purchasing to resolve any problems.

Receives emails/phone calls from departments concerning issues with deliveries, research situation in an attempt to resolve the issue and/or contact Central Purchasing for further investigation.

Stores and maintains inventory for all in house supplies.

Receives in house supply orders, fills orders, calculates cost of order, delivers order and obtains verification signature from department.

Prepares monthly in house supply order totals for all departments, submits to manager, conducts inventory of in house stock supplies and maintains sufficient quantity.

Assist in the annual food drive for the holidays and putting the grave markers and flag orders together for Veteran Affairs.

Routinely make deliveries to Internal Management for all the Judges and Court personnel. All deliveries for Court House come through our department as well.

Keep count and maintain inventory of all paper for the Court House and Government Center.


Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Ability to answer phone calls and take directions.


Physical Requirements

Normal to good health.

Ability to push /pull 700-1000 LBS of supplies /deliveries using a Flatbed, hand held or pallet jack.

Ability for individually to lift 50LBS of a single item to be delivered or move to different area of the loading dock or court house.


Residence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within six months of starting employment.
