Safety procedures and guidance established for all County employees and the public
Last week, Governor Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine signed an amended Green Phase Order to include Delaware County. Under the order, Delaware County will move to the Green Phase of the Governor’s phased reopening plan at 12:01 am on June 26.
The Delaware County Government Center will reopen to the public on Monday, June 29 at 8:30a.m. County offices will operate during normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30a.m- 4:30p.m.
The County has been working with the Chester County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to implement best practices to protect the health and safety of employees and the public.
The following procedures and guidelines have been put into place:
Employees and members of the public will have their temperature checked and be screened before entering County buildings.
Employees and members of the public are required to wear masks in County buildings.
Employees and members of the public should observe social distancing of at least six feet.
A sanitation kit including hand sanitizer will be provided to all County offices.
Facilities will be providing enhanced cleaning and sanitation to high traffic areas including bathrooms and counters.
There will be a limited number of people permitted into close spaces such as bathrooms and elevators.
Employees and members of the public are reminded to practice proper hygiene including coughing and sneezing into their elbow.
If you are sick - please stay home.
Delaware County Council will continue to hold their agenda and public meetings online next week. The June 30 agenda meeting and the July 1 public meeting will be streamed live on the County’s website and Council’s Facebook page. The public can submit public comment by email or by phone. For those without internet access, the public can watch a livestream of the meetings in the County Council Public Meeting Room (201 W. Front St., Media, PA) during the June 30 and July 1 meetings. A screen will be set up for residents to watch the virtual meeting live. Seating for the public will follow the 6-foot social distancing guidance and those in attendance will be required to wear masks.

The Delaware County Court of Common Pleas has suspended jury trials until July 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic per Court Order of the Honorable Kevin F. Kelly. Jurors scheduled through July 31, do not need to call ahead or report on their scheduled date. For jurors who have been summoned to report on or after August 3, please check the county's website for updates: https://www.delcopa.gov/courts/juror/eresponse.html
