Delaware County Announces Holiday Food Drives to Assist Residents in Need

Home / Departments / Public Relations Releases / Delaware County Announces Holiday Food Drives to Assist Residents in Need

Released: November 13, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County will not be holding its traditional annual food drive. The County has modified its approach to still meet the critical need to help the community. Food insecurity impacts the Delaware County community, and the pandemic has worsened the situation. It’s important that we help our neighbors in need.

The County has conducted eight drive thru-food collections since May and is planning four more to help provide nutritious food to our community.

Residents are invited to donate and support the County’s Food Drives on Nov. 14 and Dec. 5. Food collected will be distributed to food pantries across the county.
