After months of library buildings being closed as a result of COVID-19, many Delaware County libraries are now offering contactless pickup of books and other materials. Patrons can call or email a library that owns the items that they would like to request. Staff will then pull the items, check them out, and make them available for pickup in a contactless manner. “We are happy that we are able to begin restoring some library services by offering contactless pickup,” says Delaware County Libraries Director Catherine Bittle. “We appreciate the patience of our library community as we work to meet residents’ needs while making the safety of patrons and staff a priority.” Please note, patrons are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing at all times when picking up materials.
Ebooks and audiobooks continue to be available and libraries will still hold virtual programming. Unfortunately, computer usage is unavailable at most locations as library buildings are still closed at this point. Check our website and social media pages for updates.
