Delaware County Councilwoman Christine Reuther was joined by Delaware County Navy Veterans on Oct. 13 to raise the U.S. Navy flag in honor of the founding of the Navy on October 13, 1775. It will fly from the flagpole in the courtyard of the Government Center and Courthouse complex throughout the week. Military flags are raised at appropriate times during the year in observance of the Air Force in September, the Coast Guard in August and the Marine Corps in November.

The four Navy Veterans continue to serve the residents of Delaware County in their roles of public service in local government and in the elections process. Mr. Hoffer and Mr. Gallagher work in the Delaware County Voting Machine Warehouse, Lt. Cooper is a Nether Providence Township Commissioner and Mr. Yannuzzi is the Vice President of Eddystone Borough Council.
Council commends and thanks all of those who have served or are serving, protecting our country.
