The Department of Human Services will be holding two public hearings regarding Block Grant funds which are utilized to support community members with special needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in the live-streamed hearings and/or submit information regarding community members and their needs.

The hearings are scheduled for:

June 23rd at 6pm via Zoom
July 13th at 6pm via Zoom

Residents can email their public comments in advance or during the hearings. Comments must be submitted with the same information that is requested at a public meeting including the person’s name and address. Comments can be sent to: HS_BlockGrant@delcohsa.org

Please type “COMMENTS” in the subject line.

Public comments will be accepted until the second hearing is adjourned on July 13. The public comments will be read into the record during the hearing and the Department will respond if warranted. Emailed comments deemed inappropriate or which do not contain the commenter’s name and address will not be read into public record.

The County’s Human Services Block Grant Plan 2021/22 is currently under construction and will be available upon request. A summary of the Block Grant Plan will be available on the Human Services’ website upon completion. The plan will be submitted to the state by July 26, 2021.
