Released: June 2, 2021

This week, the Delaware County COVID-19 Task Force is offering COVID-19 vaccines at over a dozen sites, including the four large-scale Delaware County Government clinics at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon, the Keystone First Wellness Center in Chester, the Delaware County Community College’s Marple campus, and Springfield Hospital.

All vaccinations are free, and do not require identification or health insurance.

The Moderna vaccine will be offered to individuals 18 years of age and older at the Keystone First Wellness Center—located at 1929 W. 9th Street in Chester—on Thursday, June 3, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Moderna will also be available at the Delaware County Wellness Center— located at 125 Chester Avenue in Yeadon—on Friday, June 4, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Pfizer vaccine will be offered on Thursday, June 3, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Delaware County Wellness Center, and is also being offered at Springfield Hospital—located at 190 W. Sproul Road in Springfield— Tuesday, June 1 through Friday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pfizer is available to individuals 12 years of age and older. Parents or guardians must provide consent for 12 to 15-year-olds who are receiving the Pfizer vaccine from Delaware County Government and must plan to be present during the vaccination.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be offered at the Delaware County Community College Drive-Thru Clinic on Saturday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is needed, and drive-ups are welcome.

In addition to these large-scale vaccination sites—each capable of vaccinating hundreds of individuals each day—the Delaware County COVID-19 Task Force is hosting a variety of smaller municipality-partnered vaccination clinics as part of the ongoing Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Clinics will be held at small pedestrian- and parking-friendly sites in Trainer, Marcus Hook, Lower and Upper Chichester, Upland, Brookhaven and Nether Providence. Single-dose Johnson & Johnson and two-dose Moderna will be offered.

Additionally, the Task Force will continue to partner with organizations to host both public and privately-accessible pop-up clinics, with sites this week at 69th Street Terminal, the George S. Hill Correctional Facility, Laborers' Hall 413 in Chester, the Williamson Trade School, and the Upper Darby Islamic Center.

Delaware County Government will also host a public vaccination clinic at the Government Center Building in Media on Thursday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are not required. Individuals should enter from the Courtyard entrance from N. Orange Street or through the Courthouse entrance on W. Front Street. Single-dose Johnson & Johnson and two-dose Moderna will be offered.
