Delaware County Reminds Residents of Various Resources
Available to Assist the Community

Delaware County Council reminds residents that various resources and programs are available to residents who may be struggling financially due spiking inflation, sharp increases of housing prices, an increase in the cost of food and many basic needs, and utility bills this winter season.

Residents are encouraged to utilize the resources provided by a variety of County departments and local organizations for assistance with heating costs, home repairs, food insecurity, and money management.


Housing

Delaware County’s Housing Resource Guide
The Delaware County Housing Resource Guide offers information on affordable housing, subsidized housing, first-time buyer assistance, home weatherization, and many other useful resources and information for residents.

Whole Home Repair Program The Whole Home Repair Program provides income-qualified homeowners with necessary health, safety, and accessibility-related home repairs and modifications up to $50,000 per home.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps families living on low incomes pay their heating bills in the form of a cash grant. Households in immediate danger of being without heat can also qualify for crisis grants.

PECO
PECO's Customer Assistance Program - Percentage of Income Payment Plan (CAP-PIPP) provides customers with an affordable, fixed, monthly PECO bill. Customers simply pay a percentage of their total household income as their monthly PECO bill.
