Released: August 1, 2025
Delaware County remains committed to supporting former Crozer Health System employees and impacted residents as the community continues to navigate the aftermath of Prospect Medical Holdings' bankruptcy and the closure of Crozer facilities.
In recent months, the County has hosted several major support events, including a large-scale Career Fair at Subaru Park and a Health and Job Resource Fair in Sharon Hill, hosted by County Council Member Richard Womack. These events connected hundreds of residents to new employment opportunities, health services, and vital resources.
In response to the sudden closures, Delaware County also secured funding to deploy Advanced Life Support (ALS) units across the County to help prevent gaps in EMS coverage. These units are helping to reduce response time and improve care for residents experiencing emergencies.
Additionally, the County has worked with community providers to expand access to mental health services, including mobile crisis response, outpatient therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, and a 24/7 peer warm line. These resources have been critical in helping residents affected by the loss of nearby emergency and behavioral health services.
