On Dec. 14, 2021, the Delaware County Bureau of Elections conducted drawings to determine the winners for a record-high number of “tied” contests from the Nov. 2, 2021 Municipal Election. Approximately 700 candidates were in various “ties” where between two to a dozen individuals each received one to three write-in votes for the same office of local Constable, Judge of Elections or Inspector of Elections.

Group lottery drawings were conducted to decide contests ranging from two-way ties to 12-way ties.
